Subaltern Saheb - Bihar and the making of Laloo Yadav Sankarshan Thakur Picador India Rs. 275
Subaltern Saheb For Bihar watchers who need a regular fix of news on Bihar and Laloo Yadav, Sankarshan Thakur's book "Subaltern Saheb - Bihar and the making of Laloo Yadav" is a must-read. In a crisp 224 pages, Sankarshan Thakur has presented a most fascinating picture of Bihar through the Laloo days. "Subaltern Saheb" depicts an incredible account of the Laloo Raj and gives a comprehensive insight of the enigmatic personality of Laloo. As they say love him or hate him but you cannot ignore him, the book comes as a treat for the readers who have followed the times and politics of Laloo whose rule in Bihar will continue to be debated among the elite intelligentsia and the hoi-polloi alike. In fact, reading this book made me want to look for a copy of Sankarshan Thakur's first book on Laloo: The making of Laloo Yadav: The Unmaking of Bihar. Undoubtedly, I am smitten by the brilliance in which the author has conveyed his points in an absolute no-nonsense and hard-hitting manner.
